Hiromi Kawamata is Head of the Climate Change Policy Group at the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF). Responsibilities include climate and industrial policy, greenhouse gas accounting, and international standardisation activities related to steel decarbonisation. Current work includes engagement with Japanese government initiatives, the GX Steel framework, GHG Protocol revisions, and international standards development concerning carbon accounting and low-emission materials.
