As Senior Director of Carbon Strategy & Partnerships at CarbonCure, Geoffrey Bishop leads carbon credit strategy and market development, working at the intersection of climate finance, technology deployment and global carbon markets. He is focused on scaling high-quality carbon credit demand and building durable partnerships with corporate buyers, intermediaries and market stakeholders.
Geoffrey brings deep experience in environmental credit markets and commercialization strategy, with a track record of developing and managing credit portfolios. Prior to joining CarbonCure, he spent over six years at California Bioenergy as an early employee, where he played a key role in shaping and executing commercial strategies to monetize environmental credits across a growing portfolio of climate projects that generated significant recurring revenue. His work included credit generation, verification, emissions modeling and forecasting, and structuring environmental credit transactions. He partnered closely with brokers, utilities, corporate counterparties, regulators, and verification bodies to bring credits to market and drive project commercialization.
Earlier in his career, Geoffrey helped scale the nonprofit Harvest Craft, focused on sustainable agriculture and climate resilience, leading partnerships and long-term development strategy with NGOs, donors and institutional partners. He contributes to global leadership initiatives through One Young World, supporting grant development and serving as a judge for environmental initiatives. His work reflects a consistent focus on building scalable, impact-driven solutions across climate and resource systems.
Geoffrey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Biola University and completed graduate coursework in finance and sustainable business at Columbia University.
Based in Newport Beach, California, Geoffrey enjoys sailing, songwriting, and any outdoor adventure, including summiting Mount Kilimanjaro.
