Mr Matthew Chew is a nuclear engineer working at the intersection of nuclear energy, future energy systems, and secure digital operations. He is a graduate of MIT’s prestigious Leaders for Global Operations program, where he earned both an MBA and an MSc in Nuclear Science and Engineering. He is particularly passionate about building the ecosystem needed to support nuclear energy in Singapore and across ASEAN, including the engineering capabilities, institutional readiness, policy foundations, and talent development required for credible deployment. In his current work, besides building nuclear energy capabilities, he also contributes in areas such as digital twins for complex engineering systems, OT cybersecurity for critical infrastructure, and training and education that build operational competence. He is equally committed to making complex technical issues accessible to engineers, decision-makers, and the wider public.
