Kirsten Higgins joined Anew Climate in 2021 and is Senior Vice President, U.S. Low Carbon Fuels. Leading the U.S. Low Carbon Fuels commercial team, she specializes in environmental commodity transaction structuring, origination, and emerging markets for biomethane and other low carbon fuels, including maritime and Asian market demand.
 
Prior to joining Anew Climate, Kirsten worked in the Integrated Supply & Trading division of BP for seven years, holding various roles including Commodity & Market Risk Manager for crude and asset-based portfolios and Commercial Development Director for environmental products. Her experience spans managing and implementing large-scale oil, refined product, and biomethane deals, evaluating market risk in trading portfolios, and managing diverse teams. Kirsten holds a BBA in Information Technology Management from the University of Notre Dame, summa cum laude, with a minor in Energy Studies.
