Yuji Kobayashi is the Senior General Manager of the Carbon Neutral Gas Business Department at Tokyo Gas, where he leads the company’s initiatives to develop carbon-neutral gas solutions as part of Japan’s green transition. In this role, he is responsible for advancing e-methane and bio-methane supply chains and exploring pathways to integrate carbon neutral gas  into Japan’s existing gas infrastructure.
 
With more than two decades of experience in the gas and LNG industry, Mr. Kobayashi has held various leadership positions across Tokyo Gas’ operations, engineering and international business development divisions. His career includes roles in LNG terminal development, gas production operations and overseas market expansion, including serving as Chief Representative of Tokyo Gas’ Asia office in Vietnam and Deputy Director of LNG Vietnam Joint Stock Company.
