Dr. Hannes Junginger is CEO and co-founder of Carbonfuture, the Trust Infrastructure for durable carbon removal. At its core is Carbonfuture MRV+, which provides a fully integrated, end-to-end solution for monitoring, reporting and verification of carbon removal activities.

With a background in Financial Engineering and a PhD in mathematics from the University of Freiburg, Hannes has held significant roles in various financial institutions, including leading the risk management unit of a mid-sized Swiss bank and spearheading consulting and audit projects for global banks at EY.

Since co-founding Carbonfuture in 2020, the company has become a preferred partner for suppliers seeking an efficient path to certification and market access, as well as for buyers looking for de-risked portfolios of high-quality carbon removal credits.
