He studied fly ash and high combustion systems with a focus on volatile species in hot gas. Later he became a researcher in thyssenkrupp Polysius R&D where he focused on XRD and quantitative XRD applying Rietveld methods. After he moved to the cement industry working as an international consultant for a global player in cement.


He returned to thyssenkrupp in 2012 where he build up a binder laboratory for cement. Today he leads the Process and Quotations department lab automation in thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions AG – Cement Technologies.

Ndegwa has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience spanning over 25 years' in the oil & gas and manufacturing sectors as a supply chain specialist, during which time he has held various senior management roles with overall responsibility over a wide range of assets and activities. He was instrumental in the turnaround of the supply chain functions in the oil, alcoholic beverages and soda ash sectors having worked with Caltex Oil Kenya, East African Breweries as the Group Head of Supply Chain & Logistics and with Magadi Soda, a member of the giant Tata Group, as the Director of Supply Chain.

 

He has also been extensively involved in Strategic operations planning and business development.

At the appointment of the Government of Kenya, Mr. Ndegwa also serves as an Independent Board Member of the Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (NaMATA). The Authority, is a bold and visionary policy intervention established at the executive direction of His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta to provide a comprehensive and dynamic platform for addressing the decades-old transport sector challenges bedevilling the Nairobi Metropolitan Area. He is also a Board Member of the East African Business Council.

 

Ronald is a holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nairobi and also holds a post graduate diploma in Human Resource Management from South Africa's Damelin Management School.

BELLMER (German paper machine manufacturer) and PASSAVANT-ROEDIGER (water and sludge treatment - belonged to Bilfinger Berger company)

He has over 20 years of experience in corporate and project finance. Before joining the AfDB, he held various positions, as the founder and CEO of an investment advisory firm focusing on Africa, an Investment Officer with senior responsibilities at the International Finance Corporation in Washington DC, and a Citigroup Vice President, Corporate Bank Head for Senegal. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Darden Graduate School of Business (University of Virginia), an Industrial Engineering degree from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) Liege, Belgium, and a Certificate in Public Financial Management from the Kennedy School of Government (Harvard University).

Zineb Zeryouhi is currently Strategy & Development Director at LafargeHolcim Maroc  Afrique (LHMA), a JV between the LafargeHolcim and Al Mada groups. She’s in charge of developing LHMA’s footprint in francophone West and Central Africa and assisting the cluster countries in the implementation of their strategic projects.

Before joining LHMA, she was an Investment Manager at Ala Mada, where she was in charge of business development with a special focus on Sub-Saharan Africa and the management of the mining assets portfolio. Prior to that, she worked at the African Development Bank, as a senior investment officer in the Private Sector Department, SNI, PricewaterhouseCoopers and BNP Paribas Asset Management.

She holds a Master’s degree in Management from ESCP Europe, specialized in corporate finance.

The company exports to over 10 countries worldwide (Africa is a major focus), with industry experts on its board.

 

It has recently set up South-Asia’s largest ash processing project in India with a capacity of 500,000 tons/ annum, and is the only player with CE-Marking on Fly Ash. Rishit is an engineer, and an alumnus of London Business School. He is a Director with the Asian Coal Ash Association and drives several initiatives to increase ash utilization internationally.
