This effort is now being expanded to Powering the Archipelago and adopted as Bappenas’ program to bring off-grid electricity to 12,500 villages without reliable power all over Indonesia. Jaya Wahono is the recipient of Frost and Sullivan Indonesia Excellence Award 2015, 2016 and Sankalp Forum Award 2015 as recognition to his effort in renewable energy sector and rural electrification development.

Currently, he is the Managing Director of BNS Wood Industry Co., Ltd., the world's leading fully integrated manufacturer of Hevea Rubberwood products from harvesting, sawmill operation, flooring production, and biomass located at Surat Thani Priovince, Southern Thailand. With 15 years experiences in Hevea Rubberwood industry, he is also serving as the Secretary General of Wood processing club at the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI). Moreover, he is also working committee at Thai Hevea Rubberwood Association (THA) and Thailand Forest Certification Council (TFCC).

He joined Equis Bioenergy in 2017 to participate in the launch of the biomass power generation business in Japan. He holds an engineering degree from Kyoto University.

FSC works to promote responsible forest management. Operating in more than 120 markets, it is the preferred certification scheme for business, including many Fortune 500 members. Ms Fung has substantial experience on the FSC certification scheme and other international standards. Based in Hong Kong at the FSC Asia Pacific Regional Office, she leads the B2B and B2C market development programme in the region, as well as the growth strategy for the value chains of FSC-certified forestbased material and products, including non-timber forest products such as rubber. She connects international brands, retailers and buyers to FSC certified suppliers in the region. She also manages the
FSC trademark programme in the region to ensure the credibility of FSC’s brand is maintained. Developing the market incentives and campaigns drives real improvement in forest management around the world.

Craig Jackson was born in NYC and attended NYU where he received his degree in marketing. His time in the pulp and paper sector has been a total of 38 years first working at the Simpson Paper Company where he was Executive Vice President.

For the past 18 years he has been at CellMark AB a Swedish trading company, At CellMark he has been Managing Director of both Sierra Fibers and Singapore Pulp Private Ltd, currently is heading up the energy sector in Asia.

He sits on the BOD of GPS and Asia Pellet Company both are joint ventures for CellMark with local entrepreneurs. Craig has been based in Singapore for the past 13 years with his family.

Thailand - Experience for Biomass Power & Prospects

https://www.cmtevents.com/EVENTDATAS/190106/speakers/NateeSithiprasasana.jpgMr. Natee has experience in private power producer sector of Thailand for 20 years and active in Renewable Energy, especially biomass for 15 years.  He used to work for a fossil-fueled 1,400 MW IPP for 5 years before moving to renewable energy.

He started his experience in developing rice husk fueled power plant for A.T. Biopower Co., Ltd., (ATB) in Pichit Province.  While he was CEO at ATB, he brought about ATB to achieve first biomass project in getting Registered as CDM project by UNFCCC and first project in achieving Issuance of Certified Emission Reduction (CER) in Thailand.  He also took the lead in getting a law to exempt tax on Carbon Credit-CER sales.

Apart from Renewable Energy Industry Club under the Federation of Thai Industry, he has been in charged of managing the Surat Green Group’s businesses including a biomass power plant, a biogas power plant and a palm oil Refined, Bleached and Deodorized (RBD) plant since 2012.

Ming Enn is currently the Head of Physical Landscape and System Analytics of the Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (SDPB) reporting to Chief Sustainability Officer, He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science and an International Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Management.

 

In his role, he is involved in:
• Identify future trends, risks and issues around environment and biodiversity conservation by engaging with stakeholders and participation in platforms, and also projecting Sime Darby in a positive manner
• Engage with leaders and senior management to ensure awareness and buy in to drive excellent environmental performance (carbon, water, waste) and biodiversity conservation related programs and projects to resolve issues and mitigates risks and impacts to business
• Work collaboratively with operations and potential partners to develop business case and design projects and oversee implementation of environment and biodiversity conservation programs and projects, and provide advise to operations to protect and enhance forest and wildlife, and minimize footprint
• Work collaboratively with operations to develop an integrated digital system to collect and consolidate data and maps, automate reporting, and allow enterprise-wide information-sharing enables company to gain a thorough, in-depth view of performance

 

Prior to this, Ming Enn started his career at the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. Since then, he has held various roles within environment health and safety – including stints in ABB, Conoco Phillips and Mondelez International, Asia Pacific.

He graduated from Chulalongkorn University in Electrical Engineering and got his master degree in Chemical Engineering from Miami University, USA.   He is now Chairman of Renewable Energy Industry Club, The Federal of Thai Industries, the position that he can contribute and share his expertise constructing national policy for sustainable development of renewable energy for Thailand.

Petteri has been involved in numerous power plant projects in the roles of technical advisor, owners engineer and lenders engineer. His particular interest lies in project development for thermal and renewable energy power plants, starting from site selection, conceptual design and feasibility studies to negotiating EPC and PPA contracts and all the way to financial closing.

Amran aka Bob is a Graduate in Chemical Engineering & a Registered Engineer in Malaysia since 2008. He is a Head of Operation and Maintenance Department of Concord Group (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), managing a group of more than 40 engineers and operators in Malaysia and Indonesia. He has been with Concord Group for the last 2 years and actively involved and managed a full turkey biogas projects, from engineering, construction and operation.
Prior to joining Concord, he was with Biotec International Asia more than 6 years and focused on the Operation, Research and Development area. He has more than nine years of experience in the field of biogas plant engineering, construction, commissioning and operation. When Ryuu Joined Hanwa Singapore in October 2013, the same month when the renewable energy department is established in Hanwa Co. Ltd., he was initially responsible only for the sourcing of Biomass for the Japanese/Korean market. With the growth of Hanwa’s business in the renewable energy market over the last few years, he is now responsible for both sourcing of biomass, sales of biomass to regions out of Japan/Korea, and also new project developments. After having spent 5 years developing the emerging markets in Eastern Europe and Africa, Vincent moved to Malaysia to tap the potential for VYNCKE in the South East Asian biomass markets.
Today Vincent is globally overseeing VYNCKE’s international accounts in the food & agri-industries, and also leads VYNCKE’s Asian sales & business development team from the regional headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand. Over the years, he was closely involved in the development and realization of over 50 biomass-to-energy projects, ranging from small industrial applications to large biomass IPP projects.

He is currently president of the biopower group of companies which is pioneering biomass power generation in Negros Island, after pioneering the utility scale solar power generation in the Philippines.
He holds a masters degree in public administration from Harvard University where he cross enrolled in the Harvard MBA and in the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy on third world development policies.
