Ming Enn is currently the Head of Physical Landscape and System Analytics of the Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (SDPB) reporting to Chief Sustainability Officer, He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science and an International Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Management.
In his role, he is involved in:
• Identify future trends, risks and issues around environment and biodiversity conservation by engaging with stakeholders and participation in platforms, and also projecting Sime Darby in a positive manner
• Engage with leaders and senior management to ensure awareness and buy in to drive excellent environmental performance (carbon, water, waste) and biodiversity conservation related programs and projects to resolve issues and mitigates risks and impacts to business
• Work collaboratively with operations and potential partners to develop business case and design projects and oversee implementation of environment and biodiversity conservation programs and projects, and provide advise to operations to protect and enhance forest and wildlife, and minimize footprint
• Work collaboratively with operations to develop an integrated digital system to collect and consolidate data and maps, automate reporting, and allow enterprise-wide information-sharing enables company to gain a thorough, in-depth view of performance
Prior to this, Ming Enn started his career at the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. Since then, he has held various roles within environment health and safety – including stints in ABB, Conoco Phillips and Mondelez International, Asia Pacific.
Ming Enn has more than 20 years of experience in Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSE) with more than 15 years in senior managerial position in various industries including MNC Oil & Gas, Engineering & Construction, Manufacturing, Electrical, Power and Automation companies and FMCG, Food Manufacturing and Plantation, Property and Automotive industries.
