Dr. Julian Conway Mcgill

He is in charge of research and business development for the ASEAN region. He and his team are based in Kuala Lumpur. A large proportion of his work focuses on palm and other vegetable oils  and their downstream products.


His main research interest is in understanding how growers and processors manage to achieve superior margins, despite operating in a commodity market.


Dr McGill holds an M.A. (Honours) in Economics from the University of Edinburgh and completed his PhD (DPhil) at the University of Oxford.

She has 19 years’ experience in the detergent industry. She has been working for Guangzhou Liby enterprise group for more than 14 years in research and development, spanning both core research and product development research in five categories, including fabric care, home care, insect repellant, oral care and personal care products.
 
She has built an R&D team for Liby group since 2004, from 14 people to more than 100 people today, which committed to the rapid growth of the company in the last 14 years.

Nikhil has close to seven years of experience spanning sectors such as Metallurgical Coke, Automotive & Industrial Lubricants, Polyurethanes and LAB.


His role in Frost & Sullivan focuses on consulting for companies in the petrochemicals sector in Asia Pacific across verticals such as Geographic Expansion, Technology Due Diligence, Start-Up Identification & Investment, Long Term R&D formulation and Strategic Roadmaps.


He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Asian Institute of Management, Manila, Philippines and a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from Manipal University, India.

Mr. Edi Wibowo has been the Director for Fund and Disbursement, Oil Palm Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP KS), Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, since February 2017.

 

He is responsible for Fund Disbursement of Palm Oil Fund for relating program based on Palm Oil. Prior to becoming Director of Fund and Disbursement at BPDP KS, Edi Wibowo was a researcher at the Research and Development Center for Oil and Gas Technology “Lemigas” since 1992, and, was Head of Sub Division for Facilitating Policy of Energy Utilization at Secretary General of the National Energy Council since 2009. In 2011 he became Head for Engineering and Environment of Bioenergy Division, Directorate of Bioenergy-MEMR, Since June 2015, he was Head for Bussiness services and Monitoring of Bioenergy  Division and  July 2016, he was Head for Program of Bioenergy Division, Directorate of Bioenergy- MEMR.

 

He received an Agricultural Engineering Degree from Bogor Agricultural University in 1991 and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Indonesia in 2002.

A former account manager in Coco Cola Philippines, Southern Manila Distribution, as well as an area manager for Citi Financial Loan Department for Northern Luzon region previously.


He is currently the Assistant Vice President and Head of business development of JNJ Oil Group of companies. He is also the President of Philippine Oleochemical Association of the Philippines (POMA). He is an entrepreneur, sustainability advocate and a triathlon enthusiast.
