Mr. Randy Velarde

Randy Velarde, a 37-year veteran of the petrochemical industry, is the founder and President of The Plaza Group, an international marketing firm specializing in refinery, organic and inorganic chemicals and polymer products with offices in Houston and Panama City, Panama.  Prior to establishing The Plaza Group in 1994, Mr. Velarde spent 13 years in commercial management and market development at Shell Chemical and Texaco Chemical.  Mr. Velarde received a Master of Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of New Mexico.  Randy resides in Houston, TX with his four children.

Dr. Kun Qin earned his PhD in Chemistry from University of Delaware and his MBA from Drexel University, USA. He is the General Manager of Sumitomo Chemical Asia. He leads the company’s global petrochemical marketing and business planning with portfolio of 3 billion-dollar sales of petrochemical products of aromatics, intermediates, polyolefins, elastomers, and PMMA. He has 20 years of relevant experience and has immersed himself in various aspects of the chemical industry including research and development, sales and marketing.

Mr. Andrew Lee Fagg

Lee is Principal and Practice leader for Nexant’s Chemicals Consulting business in Asia, based in Thailand.  He is more than 20 years of combined consulting and industry experience covering technology, markets, business planning, strategy and M&A, spanning all major regions.  Before relocating to Asia in 2007, Lee worked in Nexant’s London office, supporting a wide range of consulting projects across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

 

Prior to joining Nexant, Lee worked for SASOL and Rio Tinto in a variety of commercial and business development roles.  He studied Chemistry and Business at Leeds University in the UK.

Mr. Michael Streng

 

Michael Streng graduated in Germany in 1983 and received his diploma in Process Engineering. In 1998-2000 he post-graduated in the Netherlands and England in an international MBA programme receiving his Master in Business Administration.

 

Michael started his 30 years of professional career in Zimmer AG: He worked in the fields of process engineering, commissioning management, plant design and project management, engineering management, technology development and marketing as well as strategic business planning.

 

In 2002 Michael moved to the EPC Group. Since then Michael is heading the business unit at Alzenau, Germany and is the Director of polymer technologies and member of managing board of EPC. In more than 36 countries Michael dealt with a number of projects in the field of polymers and fibre plants, pilot plants, plant revamping and developments which have been successfully executed in the past years - and new product developments brought on track.

Mr. Vikas Garg is the Managing Director of both Forace Polymers and  Forace Industries in India as well as the Managing Director of FP Specialty (Pty) Ltd in South Africa. He has a B. Technology degree.

 

Mr. Garg  is active in many associations and trade bodies. Roger joined Integra in 1993 to develop a Liquid Trading Business and in his current role as Executive Director, He is heading the Global Liquids Team which includes aromatics and derivatives such as phenol and acetone.

 

In addition, Roger is responsible for Finance and Administration of the group. His previous experience includes 7 years with Dow Chemical in Europe in various commercial functions in plastics and hydrocarbons.

 

Integra is a group of companies trading globally mainly bulk petrochemicals with presence around the world and its head office in Singapore; but is also involved in shipping and agricultural business.

Mr. Song Manjun

Mr. Song is the Deputy General Manager, Sales Marketing and Supply Chain for Fujian Shenyuan New Materials Co., Ltd (SCC). Polymer Engineering Master Degree holder from Donghua University (former China Textile University),  he has over 20 years experiences of polyamide and polyester industries value chain in China and Asia market.


He started his career with BASF as sales for fiber intermediates in Shanghai, China, and progressed to national sales manager for polyamide extrusion polymer in China. With his relocation from Shanghai to Hong Kong in 2007, he was promoted to Asian Pacific Manager for fiber Intermediates in BASF Regional Headquarters Co., Ltd. After relocation assignment, he was promoted to Head of Business Management, Polyamide Intermediates, BASF Greater China.  


Continuing his career in BP from 2010, he took commercial positions as sales director, Asia commercial director for PTA business within BP Asia Aromatics Business Team.  From August 2016 on, Mr. Song has Joined SCC to return and continue his activates in Aromatics and polyamide industry again.
