Dr. Frederic Gay
Dr. Frederick Gay obtained his PhD in Agricultural Sciences in 2002 and MsC in Agricultural Sciences in 1997, both from the Montpellier Supagro Institute (International Centre for Higher Education in Agricultural Sciences). He is currently a researcher with CIRAD and has been with the organisation for the past 9 years. His key qualifications are agronomy, crop physiology, crop modelling and environmental assessment. Since September 2008, Dr. Gay has been based in Thailand and the coordinator of the ecophysiology program under the Hevea Research Platform in Partnership (HRPP). Prior to that (from 2003-2007), he was based in Vietnam, in-charge of the 'Aromatic Rice' project. From 1998-2002, Dr. Gay was the Research Engineer for French Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) and Nestlé Water. His main job function was to act as co-coordinator of the project on impact of agricultural activities on groundwater pollution in the area of Perrier's natural water plant.
