Tony is Managing Director of Colliers International Myanmar, the first international real estate consultants to set up in the country. Tony was responsible for the first ever Yangon property research report in 2011 and has been active in the country for the past three years. He was previously running the Colliers Thailand research team producing reports for Bangkok, Pattaya, Samui and Hua Hin as well as the first property report for Vientiane in Laos. In previous lives he was head of research for Ho Chi Minh City, owned his own publishing business in Hong Kong, worked for the Libyan Football Federation as well as being a corporate trainer for Siemens and Airbus Industrie in Germany.

.Born on 10th April 1946, Dr Sai graduated as a medical doctor in 1971 August and worked as a medical officer from 1972 to 1987 for 15 years.  He left Myanmar and went Canada and US in 1987 to study BBA, MBA from Washinton University.  Then, Dr Sai went back to Myanmar in 1993 and set up the Great Burma company in 1994 and Loi Hein Company in 1995.  Worked as a Managing Director for these two companies and he is now the president of the group of companies.

.Ralf holds a double honours degree from Wilfred Laurier University, in Waterloo, Canada. Prior to coming to Vietnam in 1994, Ralf served as a policy analyst for the Provincial Minister of Finance for Ontario, Canada.

 

In 1996, Ralf established TNS Vietnam, as a part of the TNS Global Group and has since opened offices in Cambodia and is in the midst of establishing the Myanmar operations.

U Soe Thein was born in 1959. He attended the Rangoon [ Yangon ] Institute of Technology and obtained the bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in 1982. He started his work as a site engineer in one of the architects’ association firm in Yangon in 1983 and worked there up to 1990. In 1991, he got the post as an assistant engineer/port engineer in Myanma Port Authority [MPA] under the Ministry of Transport. Now, he is a deputy chief civil engineer in MPA and he has 21 years experiences in port engineering. He also obtained the certificate on port and harbor engineering training in Port and Airport Research Institute[ PARI]  in Japan. He is also a member of Myanmar Engineers’ Association.

.Dr. Aung Thura is the founder and CEO of Thura Swiss, a Myanmar-based research and consulting firm specialized in market research, consulting and capital markets with regards to Myanmar. Being a Myanmar national who grew up in Switzerland, Dr. Thura is very well connected in Myanmar and Europe. Before founding Thura Swiss, Dr. Thura worked for various Swiss banks in different roles. He was a structured products and exotic derivatives trader. Dr. Thura has a M.Sc. in mechanical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and holds a master's degree in finance and a doctorate in banking from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

U Tin Ko Win is the Deputy Director General of Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) under the Ministry of National Planning and Economic Development (MNPED).

       

U Tin Ko Win holds a Bachelor of Arts (Law), and Bachelor of Law (LL.B) degree from Yangon Art and Science University in 1977-78 and obtained a Master Law degree (LL.M) from Yangon University in 1983.  He is an Advocate.

 

U Tin Ko Win served as a Tutor at Law Department in Yangon University from 1979 to 1982.  He also served as the Law Officer in Attorney General Office from 1982 to 1989.  Since 1989, he has been serving as a Deputy Director General in Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) and DICA.

Paul G Crilley is an Honours Graduate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the UK (B.Eng 1st Class) and is a Qualified Chartered Engineer (C.Eng) and Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) in the UK since 1992. Paul has been involved in the Telecommunications Sector since graduating in 1989, starting with BP Exploration in Aberdeen before working with various Oil and Gas companies and Telecom Service providers in the UK and South East Asia (Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand).

 

In 1997, Paul came to Myanmar to become the Head of Telecommunications at Total Myanmar Exploration and Production for the Yadana Offshore Field and Onshore Pipeline development project. In 2001, he left to became a co-Founder of Myanmar's first ISP, Bagan Cybertech, which he was the Technical Director as well as Head of Engineering and Operations.

 

In 1999, Paul founded the Ultra Developments Group and has personally invested in and provided consultancy services for, various companies in the Region, notably including Bagan Cybertech in Myanmar and Ultra Teleports in Perth, WA.

 

Currently, Paul is the Senior Consultant at Yatanarpon Teleport Co. Ltd in Yangon and has spent more than 15 years living there with his family, as well as trying to navigate the Myanmar Telecom Sector.

Mr.Win Myo Thu is an environmentalist advocating for environmental governance and land reform in Myanmar. During last twenty years, he has devoted in the work of community led natural resource management as well as lobbied for civil society development to catalyze the change in Myanmar. While engaging in grassroots development works throughout the country, Mr.Win also consulted environmental authority of Myanmar Government for "Developing National Biodiversity Strategic Action Plan (NBSAP)", "Promoting Education and Training for Public Awareness on Climate Change (ETPA), and "Establishing the System of Environmental Performance Assessment".

 

At present, Mr.Win is collaborating with 30 Civil Society Groups for initiating "Environmental Report Card" system in 64 townships across the country that evaluate the performance of local authority and business investor affecting on the livelihood of local people and associated environment. He is co-founder and managing director of ECODEV Group while serving as executive committee member of several NGO networks. He studied at Rangoon University, Asian Institute of Technology(Bangkok),  University of Wolverhampton (UK) and California State University (USA) and earned B.Sc (Forestry), M.Sc (Rural Development Planning) and Professional Certificate on Environmental Democracy and Governance.

Edwin is one of Myanmar’s leading foreign lawyers, particularly recognized for his experience with large transactions. He was formerly with Loyens & Loeff and a partner at DFDL. He has 20 years of experience as a lawyer, academic and government adviser, including six years of experience on Myanmar tax and investment issues. Edwin advises on some of the largest investment projects in Myanmar, such as the acquisition of oil and gas interests, the tender for telecom licenses, major infrastructure projects, and power plants. He lives full-time in Yangon, where he leads a team of 20 lawyers and tax advisers. In his academic career, he has lectured at 6 prestigious universities in Europe and Asia, and written 7 textbooks and over 40 scholarly articles some of which won scientific awards.

Yup Seng Ing is the managing director of Digicom Company, a member of Jadeland Myanmar group. Digicom is based in Kachin State where their 1st project under YTP & MPT "McWill" was introduced. She has organized the 1st ICT Workshop in Kachin State where different ministries including the chief minister attended. With the government's encouragement, Digicom has also set up a computer association representing the state, along with facilitating educational sectors in the local universities & colleges. 

Yup Seng Ing is a graduate of Emmanuel College (Boston) with a degree in Management & Chemistry. She is the vice president of the Myanmar Thaing Federation (Myanmar Martial Arts Federation) working with locals all over Myanmar to promote and elevate the neglected culture of martial arts. MTF is promoting to the neighboring countries in hopes of entering 28th SEA Games with Myanmar's very own martial arts call Bando.

Alessio is the founder of PWP. He holds an LLB (University of Milan) and a LLM in Corporate and Financial Services (National University of Singapore).  Before founding PWP, Alessio worked for 2 years in a well-regarded law firm in the Kingdom of Cambodia. Previously, he worked in the financial services and project finance departments of a leading British law firm in both its Milan and Singapore offices. He began his legal career in the corporate and banking services department of a leading Italian law firm, working in both its Milan and Hong Kong S.A.R. offices.

 

Alessio has been involved in numerous transactions including project finance in Myanmar.  He is usually described as “a very capable consultant with outstanding commercial understanding”.

 

He frequently travels to Europe and Africa to assist foreign clients investing in South-East Asia and he is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars on the investment climate in Myanmar.
