Dr. Jitendra Chikara
Dr. Jitendra Chikara is doctorate in biological sciences and working as senior scientist in Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSIR), Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India, since 1981 and heading the discipline of Wasteland Research. He has 30 years of experience in the field of utilization of wastelands for productive use. He has valuable experience of last ten years on improvement of Jatropha germplasm and cultivation for seed production under wasteland conditions.

Mr. Will Polese

Will Polese is the Managing Director Lux Research Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. Will has spent more than 20 years working with clients in Asia, and heads Lux Research's regional headquarters in Singapore where he lives with his family.


Will Polese joined Lux Research from Xelocity, Inc., a boutique consultancy firm, where he was the President of the North American business. Earlier in his career, Will spent several years running the sales team for a commercial printer, leading the Japan sales team at Forrester Research, as well as spending eight years with Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.), Inc.


Will has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies and Economics from Pitzer College. Additionally, he studied abroad at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, as well as in Japan at Obirin University in Tokyo and Hakodate University in Hakodate.

Mr. Khoo Hock Aun

Mr Khoo Hock Aun leads the Ark Bio/Cosmo Biofuels Group which is actively engaged in establishing oil palm, jatropha curcas, and pongamia plantations, biodiesel downstream processing and trading activities in the Asia Pacific region.


He is presently developing markets and partnerships for an oilseed-to-biodiesel supply chain based on the Group's proprietary processing technology for all oilseed crops including use of oil palm and coconut biomass for second generation biofuel.


He is Advisor/Strategist for the International Jatropha Organisation, Vice-Chair, Roundtable on Sustainable Biofuels and Secretary-General, Malaysian Bio-Industry Organisation.


Mr Khoo Hock Aun graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Agribusiness) from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang in 1978 and was a Nuffield Foundation Study Fellow in 1988 with the Science Policy Research Unit, University of Sussex, United Kingdom. He has managed, in a period spanning over two decades, a number of trade associations in both in Malaysia and South East Asia.

Mr. Andreas Staebler
Andreas Staebler studied chemical engineering in Munich, Hong Kong and Lisbon and graduated 2003. Since 2004 he is employed at the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging (IVV) as scientist, initially mainly working on the development of biofuels. Since 2008, Andreas Staebler is head of the business unit "biogenic raw materials" at the Fraunhofer IVV and thus responsible for the research concerning the utilization of raw materials and residues from food industry and agriculture in technical applications and energy recovery. Additionally he is coordinating the foundation of a Fraunhofer project center in Brazil.

Edmund Heng is a Graduate in International Master of Business Administration in Executive Management from Royal Road University, Canada. And also a holder of Chartered Management Accountant from UK. Currently, he is an Executive Director of Business Development of Waterland International, Indonesia as well as holding directorship positions in various subsidiaries and affiliates of Waterland Groups of Companies. Prior to this appointment, Edmund was acting as a personal adviser to the local representative of an international freight container services provider in Indonesia, representing Evergreen Marine & Eva Air, Taiwan. Past experiences include working as a chief financial controller, experienced in assessing and evaluating corporate investments with a medium-sized Chinese conglomerate enterprise in Indonesia known as PT Gunung Sewu Kencana. Edmund has acted as Investment & Compliance Manager for PT Astra CMG Life, a life insurance joint venture company between Astra International and Colonial Mutual Group, now known as Commonwealth Life. He is a visionary manager with in-depth past experience in the insurance market and businesses strategies within the financial services industry. Highly skilled in steering departments within the organization to adapt to changing markets compliance environments, ability to create and instill compliance awareness and adherence to ensure that the overall organization does not engage in business that breaches the law. Mr. Adolfo Larran

Adolfo's family has been farming in Argentina for over 100 years. For over 12 years Adolfo managed their large farming operation there. Starting in 2002, Adolfo began researching and consulting on the development of jatropha through a private consulting effort and later incorporated as MasJatrofa SRL. His customers ranged small-scale developments, to large institutions such as Kimberly Clark and George Soros´s ADECO AGRO.


Adolfo is recognized as a leading expert in Jatropha curcas cultivation. He has published scientific papers on the temperature sensitivity, water response and salinity tolerance of Jatropha curcas during the germination cycle.He was one of the first to use a mechanical seeding machine in order to dramatically decrease planting costs. He has also developed the first patented jatropha mechanical harvesting machine.


Adolfo has collaborated with Kingdoms College, and visited former USA Senator, Christopher B. Burnham appointed Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for Management by Kofi Annan on June 1, 2005. Mr. Burnham is the senior most American in the United Nations Secretariat. He was tasked by Secretary-General Annan with overhauling the accountability and transparency of the United Nations.


His work has been visit by Toyota Tshusho, Dole Foods, Lufthansa, BEI Intl, Neste Oil, etc.

Mr. Richard Palmer
Richard Palmer is President, Chief Executive Officer and a Member of the Board of Directors of Global Clean Energy Holding, Inc. Richard has 25 years of hands-on experience in the alternative energy field and has been active in the biofuels industry for almost 10 years. He held senior level management positions with Mobius Risk Group, Bentley Engineering and Southland Industries, and was a Senior Director with Enron from 1997-2002 responsible for Technical Services and Deal Structuring for comprehensive energy transactions between $250M and $3.2B . Mr. Palmer received his designation as a Certified Energy Manager in 1999, holds two Business Management Certificates from University of Southern California's Business School, and is an active member of both the American Society of Plant Biologists and the International Tropical Farmers Association.

Mr. Tony Crimmins

Working as the Business Development Manager for Jatenergy Limited, Tony Crimmins has been involved with the development of Jatenergy Limited since its conception 4 years ago. The company initially identified Cassava as the boom bio ethanol, in Cambodia. Having a background in Chemical and Environmental Engineering provides for an understanding both technology and eco-system challenges. Tony's has developed his own business management consulting business strategizing and developing mid- size businesses in the area of agricultural technology and plant science. Companies such as Grain Research Development Council and Nuflora International Pty Ltd are two particular groups that he has assisted both with their invested into plant science, and development for new cultivars in the market of oil seed.

Business acumen gained by successfully assist in listing 12 businesses onto the Australia Stock Exchange with Winning Corporate Services a unique multi-tiered investment house specialising in resources specifically energy related businesses. Currently on the board of four Australian public companies which are all focused on energy both conventional and renewable. He has worked for 6 years in China (Taiwan) as an environmental engineer and business development manager, and has a understanding of the area and business practices. Tony has previously worked as a general manager, project manager and in commercialisation of technology-based products and services.
