Electric Vehicles: The Road to a More Sustainable Future

PROFILE

Yutaka Sanada head of Nissan’s Asia & Oceania (A&O) operations. In this role he is responsible for growing Nissan’s A&O business in 15+ countries across the region including key markets like Thailand, Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, Brunei, Hong Kong, Indochina (Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam), Malaysia, Myanmar and Singapore.

He was appointed to the current role on 1 April 2016. Mr Sanada joined Nissan in 1991 and since held various roles of increasing responsibility across multiple functions, including logistics, sales as well as production and supply. He experienced a variety of management and executive roles in the company, including, Renault-Nissan Alliance, Nissan Motorsports (NISMO) as well as the OEM and sports programs.

As a leader, Mr Sanada is highly-driven and a strong team communicator, motivator and collaborator. He is a firm believer in the value of developing and growing employees while constantly challenging all colleagues to think of creative, unique and new ways to further enhance Nissan’s services and offerings.

Mr Sanada’s many achievements at Nissan include launching the Dayz series and establishing it as a core model for the Japanese market; reviving the GT-R; and brokering a strategic partnership with Daimler, which is now in its seventh year.
