Mrs. Daisy Eresu

Daisy Eresu is a Senior Agricultural Officer (Agronomy and Extension) and presently is Head Cassava Program in the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) and Project Coordinator Agriculture Technology Transfer Cassava Value Addition. Her mission is to transform subsistence cassava production to a commercialized, profitable and sustainable sub sector to improve food and nutrition security, household income and exports on the domestic and regional markets. She has worked on several Cassava projects since 2005 and has seen budget allocation to an “orphaned commodity” increase from government and development partners favorably support cassava processing at community and industrial level. Daisy is a Board Member of Uganda Tea Development Agency Limited (UTDAL), she does consultancy work and enjoys working with grass root Home Economics/Family Life Education programs.
