AgriWaste to Value (Biofuels, SAF, Biochar & CDR)
Turning Agricultural Waste into Fuels, Carbon & Commercial Value

22-23 July 2026 | Jakarta

WHY THIS EVENT

Across Southeast Asia, vast volumes of agricultural residues—from palm oil waste to rice husk and sugar by-products—have long been treated as low-value or disposal challenges. Today, that is rapidly changing. As global demand intensifies for low-carbon fuels, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and carbon removal solutions, these same waste streams are emerging as critical feedstocks in the transition towards a bio-based economy.

Indonesia and the wider region now sit at the centre of this shift, with strong policy momentum around B50 biodiesel, SAF development, and carbon markets. Yet unlocking this potential is far from straightforward. The industry continues to grapple with fragmented feedstock supply, evolving technologies, and the challenge of making projects commercially viable at scale.

AgriWaste to Value (Biofuels, SAF, Biochar & CDR) brings together key players across the value chain—from plantation groups and feedstock suppliers to offtakers, developers, and technology providers—to explore how agricultural waste can be transformed into fuels, carbon products, and sustainable materials, and more importantly, how to do so profitably and at scale.

Through a focused 1.5-day programme, participants will gain practical insights into:

  • Unlocking new revenue streams from EFB, POME, rice husk, sugar waste and other residues
  • Navigating SAF and biofuel feedstock demand beyond UCO
  • Evaluating biomethane, biomethanol and biochar project economics
  • Leveraging carbon markets and CDR opportunities
  • Connecting with offtakers, developers and technology partners

WHAT WILL BE DISCUSSED

The programme covers the full spectrum of waste-to-value pathways, including:

  • Scaling biodiesel (B50) in Indonesia
  • SAF demand, targets and feedstock realities
  • Converting palm oil waste into biomethane and integrating into gas grids
  • Producing biomethanol from stranded biomass
  • Delivering cost-competitive SAF from agri-residues
  • Scaling biochar for carbon markets (CDR), agriculture and industry
  • Unlocking residues through biological and circular systems
  • Transforming EFB and oil palm trunks into materials and pulp

WHO YOU WILL MEET

The event brings together stakeholders across the entire value chain:

  • Offtakers (energy companies, industrial users)
  • Feedstock suppliers (plantations, aggregators)
  • Project developers and investors
  • Technology providers and licensors
  • Government and industry associations

With confirmed presentations from:
PT Perusahaan Gas Negara, reNIKOLA Primer Energi, Unilever Oleochemical, Indonesia Biofuels Producer Association/Asosiasi Produsen Biofuel Indonesia (APROBI), DNV, PT Pertamina, Fat Hopes Energy, Lux Research, Velocys, Straits Bio LNG, CRectech, HUSK Ventures, Aludra Impact, Protenga, PT Bangka Asindo Agri, Weng Meng Greentech, IOI Palm Wood, Thai Eastern Group and more…

WHY INDONESIA & SOUTHEAST ASIA
As the world’s largest palm oil producing region, Southeast Asia holds one of the largest untapped sources of agricultural residues globally. Combined with strong policy support for biofuels, SAF and carbon markets, the region is uniquely positioned to scale next-generation bioeconomy projects.

This makes it a critical hub for companies looking to secure feedstock, develop projects, and access new markets.

JOIN INDUSTRY LEADERS
Past participating companies include:
Shell Energy Trading, Mitsubishi, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsui, Toyota Tsusho, ENEOS, JFE Engineering, Arkema, Topsoe, Sulzer, Hanwa, SD Guthrie, Apical, Asian Agri and more.
