Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh  has Doctor of Electrical Engineering from KU Leuven in Belgium. Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh has broad knowledge and intensive experience in energy sector in Vietnam. During his 20 years working experience, Dr. Tuan Anh has involved in policy making and sector development in energy field.

Mr. Pham Quang Huy

Dr. Pham Quang Huy has ontained his PhD in Electric Power Systems Management from Hanoi University of Technology in 2009. Dr. Pham Quang Huy previously worked as Director of the Power Market Development and at ERAV from 2006 to May 2014. His unit was responsible for power market development and power market operation supervision, including development of power market regulations, procedures, metering codes, and infrastructure regulations for electricity markets. Dr. Huy was also involved in development of the grid code, grid operation procedures (including dispatching, black-start and recovering steps) for the operation of Vietnam’s national power system. Dr. Huy specializes in power market development, power system technical codes and Demand-Side Management (DSM).

Mr. Matt Wilson

Matt is Corporate Affairs Director of HEINEKEN Vietnam and previously was Corporate Affairs and Legal Director for HEINEKEN New Zealand. He has held management roles for HEINEKEN in Corporate Affairs and Legal fields as well served on the Boards of non-profits from the packaging, advertising and theatre industries. Matt was born in New Zealand and is passionate about the environment and working for HEINEKEN to Brew a Better World.

John JEON also known for JJ, has been in working for GS Group, the energy based conglomerate in South Korea, for 5 years as biomass trader. GS has set up a wood pellet factory in China as joint venture, and has been dealing with a no. of countries as partner including South East Asian countries and Canada.

GS Group is not only a trader but also an end-user of biomass fuel, having its 105MW powerplant running since 2015 with 400,000MT of PKS, and no. of other power plants who will be obligated to use wood pellets in near future.

Mr. Andy Bui

Andy Bui is the Vice President of AVP. Since 2015 AVP has become the biggest woodpellet supplier in south East Asia, cover more than 50 % of the whole market. AVP is family own business, his background is a mechanical engineerer and also involved in timber industries for many years. Andy Bui has been in the biomass business for nearly 6 years and has been attending worldwide biomass conference as a guess speaker.


Woodpellet is a challenging business and still on the growning process. Reputation is the most important factor to be in this business for Andy and his company.

Mr. Wouter van Ravenhorst

Mr. van Ravenhorst graduated from The University of York with a MSc Degree in Business Administration. He has always had an interest in businesses that focus on sustainability and think in long-term generations, which was one of the reasons to join Control Union in 2015 in The Netherlands. Since then he has been involved in multiple projects related to certification, inspection and logistics, covering various commodities. Nowadays, his focus lies on, among others, the Asian biomass sector and specifically areas such as sustainability and traceability. Currently, he lives in Vietnam, one of the key biomass sourcing areas in Asia

Mr. Craig Jackson

Craig Jackson was born in NYC and attended NYU where he received his degree in marketing. His time in the pulp and paper sector has been a total of 38 years first working at the Simpson Paper Company where he was Executive Vice President.

For the past 18 years he has been at CellMark AB a Swedish trading company, At CellMark he has been Managing Director of both Sierra Fibers and Singapore Pulp Private Ltd, currently is heading up the energy sector in Asia.

He sits on the BOD of GPS and Asia Pellet Company both are joint ventures for CellMark with local entrepreneurs. Craig has been based in Singapore for the past 13 years with his family.

Dr. Pham Van Bac

Dr Pham Van Bac holds a BSc in Chemistry in Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava in 1983. In 1999 he achieved the Doctoral degree in Refining and Petrochemical at Gubkin University in Moscow, Russia. He has experiences of nearly 30 years working in the oil and gas industry in Vietnam, he has contributed important role in many key projects and also the development of Petrovietnam as well.  

Dr.Bac started his career as a Chemist at National Chemistry Institute in 1989 and then joining in oil & gas industry. He has excellently served in many senior positions in the petroleum companies, including that of Manager of Technical Supervisor Department (Dung Quat Refinery Project), senior engineer of State’s Steering Committee of Oil & Gas Projects, senior engineer of Board of Directors’ Office, Deputy General Director of Long Son Petrochemical Complex Project and currently being Deputy General Manager of Oil & Gas Division (Petrovietnam) since  2010.
