Dr. Neoh Soon Bin

Dr Soon-Bin Neoh is a Director of the Soon Soon Group of Companies, an international oil, food and feed ingredients manufacturing concern based in Penang, Malaysia. Dr Neoh was trained as a scientist with a BSc and PhD in Chemistry from the University College London and a post doctorate research fellowship at the University of Chicago, USA.

 

Being the Managing Director of the Soon Soon Group of Companies , he is currently very active as an industrialist and businessman. He has wide business experience in various Asian countries.

Dr. Amonthep Chawla

Dr. Amonthep Chawla is the Head of Research Office at the CIMB Thai Bank where he conducts market research on financial liquidity, interest rate and economic outlook of Thailand as well as the ASEAN region. He also evaluates business sectors that provide opportunities or pose potential risks to the Bank.

 

Dr. Chawla received an East-West Center Scholarship to complete his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in the US.

Prof. Le Duc Ngoan

Prof. Le Duc Ngoan graduated from Agriculture University No.2 Ha Bac, Viet Nam. He obtained his PhD in Animal Sciences in the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Sweden in 2000 & the title of Full Prof in 2015. He has been teaching and researching at Faculty of Animal Sciences, Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry, Viet Nam since 1976 to now. His specialization is animal nutrition, mainly in pig nutrition. He is a member of Viet Nam Feed Association.

Dr. Julian Conway Mcgill

Dr Julian McGill is the Head of South East Asia at LMC International. He is in charge of research and business development for the ASEAN region. He and his team are based in Kuala Lumpur. He has a wide-ranging brief, but focus primarily on vegetable oils, oleochemicals, rubber and high protein feed markets (such as aquafeed).

His main research interest is in understanding how growers and processors manage to achieve superior margins, despite operating in a commodity market.

Dr McGill holds an M.A. (Honours) in Economics from the University of Edinburgh and completed his PhD (DPhil) at the University of Oxford.

Mr. Luke Mason

Luke started his career in Australia with ABB Grain trading various products over 13 years and was ABB's Trading Manager when Viterra purchased the company. He then became General Manager, Merchandising during the year he spent with Viterra. In 2011, Luke moved to Singapore to join Toepfer International's Asian Grains desk as Senior Manager Trade. In mid 2013, Luke Joined Concordia Agri-Trading as their Head of Grains, Asia. Concordia's Asian Grains desk covers destination markets in North East and South East Asia, Sub-continent, Middle East and East and South Africa. The main products traded are corn and wheat from all major origins while barley and sorghum also play a role in daily activities.

Dr. Liu Kang

Liu kang got his PHD in Guangdong Ocean University (China) and his major is nutrition and feed of aquatic animals. Since 2016, he is the Technical Director in Alpha group. Prior to joining Alpha group he worked at Yuehai feed group in China. He has nearly ten years of experience in the field of aquatic feed, especially familiar with the feed of marine fish and freshwater carnivorous fish in China.

Mr. Craig Thorp

Craig Thorp has worked for Mars Inc. for over 17 years in both the Petcare and Chocolate Segments, during this time he has had roles in Commercial Buying, Supplier Quality and Sustainability.   Much of the focus of these roles has centered on the development of supply chains in Asia to support the growth of Mars Inc. in this region.  Craig has had significant development experience in India, Cambodia and Thailand.   Prior to joining Mars, Craig was an Officer in the Australian Army with experience in South East and South West Asia.  He holds a post graduate degree in Defence

Dr. Girish Channarayapatna

Girish Channarayapatna holds a Bachelor degree in Veterinary Science and Master degree in Poultry Science from University of Agricultural Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, Bangalore, India. He completed his Doctorate Degree in 2009 from University of Guelph, Animal and Poultry Science Department, Canada. His main research focus during his Master’s and PhD program was on characterization and prevention of mycotoxicoses in poultry. He joined Evonik Animal Nutrition in Singapore in 2010 and since 2013, he is leading technical team of Evonik Animal Nutrition for Asia South region.

Mr. Ravi Shankar

Mr Ravi Shankar is currently the Chief Operating Officer of the Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Limited (popularly known as Amul Dairy).  A rural manager for over three decades, Mr Ravi Shankar has been a Whole-time Director on the Board of Directors of India’s National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) for seven years, of which three years were as its Executive Director. He has served as the Managing Director of IDMC Limited for over five years.  IDMC undertakes EPC of dairy and food projects and manufactures dairy equipment.

 

Earlier, Mr Ravi Shankar served as the Managing Director of the National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India for more than six years.  NCDFI is the country’s networking and advocacy body for the cooperative dairy industry. Over the years Mr Ravi Shankar has gained significant insights into the development-finance and working of agricultural cooperatives and public sector companies. He has experience in country based policy dialogue and has successfully carried out operational engagements with multilateral agencies.  He has also worked on short assignments in the South Asian and East African region.

Dr. Mavis Hung

Dr. Mavis Hung, graduated from University of Kentucky, USA  with a doctoral degree in Animal Science. Her area of academic specialization was in the sow nutrition and the growth and immunity of the offspring. Dr. Hung joined Anyou in 2013 as Swine Nutritionist. In 2015, Dr. Hung also work in Anyou Research Center as the head researcher of the Carbon Emission Research in Pig Farming.

Dr. Swensen Huang graduated from Oregon State University with a degree of Ph.D. in Dept. of Comparative Veterinary Medicine.   His study focused on innate immunity in poultry.   He worked for several multinational company in animal health industry including Merial, DuPont, Zoetis (Alpharma, Pfizer), and now Nutriad for past 17 years.  He has role in technical support with experience in the area of vaccine, biosecurity, and feed additives.

Mr. Andreas Aepli

Andreas Aepli is the Managing Director for Bühler and Protix’ joint venture Bühler Insect Technology Solutions (BITS). Using the power of insects, BITS provides modular solutions for the industrial-scale transformation of organic side streams into quality ingredients. Before BITS, Andreas has helped built Bühler’s Sales & Service presence in emerging markets like Pakistan, Iran and North Africa and was also the CFO for the Middle East & North Africa region. Andreas holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BA from the University of St. Gallen.
