Mr. Ryan Dat

As per his favorite quote: “Action is the foundation key to all success”, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat (Ryan) – Deputy CEO of the Vissai group – has been acting aggressively for his dream of building up Vissai reputation and positioning Vissai brand name as the best Vietnamese cement producer in this industry. With his energy and pro-active character, goal-driven mind-set, Mr.Ryan approaches each new business challenge with his sense for innovation, creativeness and willing to act as risk-taker to pioneer in many new technologies and project.

Mr.Ryan began his career as an auditor at Grant Thornton Vietnam. Having graduated from one of the best universities in Hanoi, specializing in foreign trade, Ryan’s goal was to become an expert of finance and build a “Wall Street” in Vietnam. But life was not that easy! He himself experienced the very hard time of being unemployed due to the downsizing of his company. He used to be much frustrated to lose the goals, having no ideas about the future or which path to go to develop his career… Looking back that hard time, it was also very valuable experience to push for his gigantic growth until now.

Recognized as a high-potential executive, in 2009, he was asked by the Chairman of The Vissai to join the group, first as a Commercial manager. After 9 years contributing to Vissai and holding different positions, he has wide knowledge of cement industry and truly understanding on strong and weak points of Vissai which is a very good base for him to develop the Group. He printed his foot in many projects of Vissai, bringing Vissai cement to 36 countries in the world, expanding Vissai to 10 production lines in 10 years, and managing the group of 5000 people. Most recently, Vissai has launched their strategic asset – The Vissai International Terminal – and he is on the way to develop it to become one of the best ports in Asean which meets international standards of operation and management.

Thanks to his effort, over the span of his career Mr.Ryan has received many awards, not only from the company but also from the Government including the Prime Minister Award for Successful Businessman. He has also been voted to become the Chairman of the Economic Forum between Vietnam and Bangladesh. On top of that, the greatest award to him is the respect and appreciation from all of his staffs who always look at him as a typical example of keep on trying and acting for greater success.
