Mr. Nathan Dodd

Nathan Dodd is a partner in the Singapore office of Mayer Brown JSM and heads Mayer Brown's Global Projects Group in South East Asia. Nathan has more than fourteen years experience on the development and finance side of projects in Asia and Africa together with extensive experience on energy, natural resources and infrastructure M&A.  Nathan has worked on power projects across the Asian region, and is currently advising the developers on two power projects in Myanmar.

Mr. Sean Prior

Sean Prior is a counsel in the Singapore office of Mayer Brown JSM's Projects practice and is a highly experienced lawyer in the areas of resources and energy law, project finance and large infrastructure.

Sean has advised both sponsors and banks on the development and financing of large scale energy and infrastructure projects in a variety of jurisdictions. He has also advised on share sales and business sales as well as workouts and insolvencies in all of these sectors.

Beginning with advising a major Indonesian player on its high profile purchase of 25% of the BHP Billiton coal interests in Kalimantan, Sean has spent the last seven years focusing on transactions in the region (predominantly Indonesia). He has advised, amongst others, the lenders on the US$2.8 billion Donggi Senoro LNG project, a global trading group on its purchase of a third generation Coal Contract of Work company, the Indonesian regulator on the procurement of power stations and foreign investors on numerous investments into the coal, tin, nickel, coal bed methane, steel, oil & gas and LNG sectors, amongst others.

Mr. Tony Wood

In 1993 Tony took up an opportunity to move to Indonesia for the development of tropical hardwood plantations. Tony was in direct management roles within Indonesia for over 15 years progressing to the management of all activities from plantations, harvesting, road construction and maintenance, transport, social issues, out-grower schemes, certification achievement and research activities. The last three positions held were at the General Manager level for large Pulp & Paper producers.

In July 2008 Tony left the direct management roles and moved into consultancy by joining the Poyry Management Consulting Group in order to manage their Jakarta office. While with Pöyry, Tony was involved in projects across Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Congo and Brazil. His work resulted in stock exchange regulation fulfillment, major investment into forestry, palm oil and biomass projects, and operational performance enhancement.

After two years away from Indonesia, Tony has now returned in order to join PT Ata Marie as a partner in their biomass management and consulting company.

Ms. Hilda Savitri
Hilda Savitri is the Chief Investment Officer of PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance managing investments of the company. IIF is a non bank financial institution which focus on investment in infrastructure projects in Indonesia. She has over 20 years of experience in investment banking, corporate banking and private equity. Prior to joining IIF, she was an Investment Director at TAEL Management, a regional private equity firm, for 8 years period and prior to that she worked for UOB Asia Ltd from 2004 to 2007 with latest position as Associate Director. She had also worked for PT Danareksa, an Indonesian domestic investment banking and PT Nusantara Securities.

Mr. Geoffrey Tan

Geoffrey Tan is a Managing Director at Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), and is OPIC’s Asia-Pacific regional representative based in Thailand.  Mr. Tan has worked in emerging markets banking and private equity for over 20 years.  At OPIC he has worked primarily on power, infrastructure and access to finance transactions across Latin America, the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia.  He has a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from Cornell University.

Mr. Yanis Boudjouher

Yanis Boudjouher has 18 years of financial and technical experience in the energy sector including project development, finance, M&A and risk, with a multi-billion-transaction track record.

He is the CEO of ReEx Capital Asia, a leading investment banking and consulting company specialized in clean energy in Asia Pacific and headquartered in Singapore. Yanis has also co-founded and is a Board Director of Infra Capital Myanmar, developing infrastructure projects in Myanmar, and IPEx Cleantech Asia, a clean technology transfer platform supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Yanis previously worked at Electricite de France (EDF) in Paris and London as co-Head of M&A. He served on the Investment Committee for EDF Energies Nouvelles and on the boards of generation companies in Europe and China.

Yanis is a Certified Engineer and a CFA charterholder.

Mr. Jaya Wahono

Jaya Wahono is the founder and CEO of Clean Power Indonesia, an Independent Power Producer that specializes in biomass gasification technology and based in Indonesia. He is an entrepreneur, consultant and engineer who has been working in 3 different continents: Asia, Africa and North America. The professional experience includes living and working in Canada for 7 years: owning business in various hospitality sector in Canada, personal financial advisor for asian immigrants in Canada, member of Tourism Whistler special committee in developing new tourism product &service and community activist in Whistler international outreach program. Past assignments in North Africa include assisting Indonesian companies to set up and establish new operations in Tripoli, Libya before the libyan revolution in 2011.

Clean Power Indonesia’s project is under development in Bangli regency of Bali and Mentawai island off the coast of West Sumatra, both focusing in bamboo as local energy source. As the Chairman of Green Prosperity Mentawai initiative, Jaya has been promoting 100% renewable energy target for the island of Mentawai in Indonesia by bringing affordable, sustainable, reliable and equitable electricity to all 43 villages there. Thiseffort is now being expanded to Powering the Archipelago and adopted as Indonesian Chamber of Commerce’s initiative to bring off-grid electricitiy to the other 12,500 villages without reliable power all over Indonesia.Clean Power Indonesia is the recipient of Frost and Sullivan Indonesia Excellence Award 2015, 2016 and Sankalp Forum Award 2015 as recognition to its effort in renewable energy sector and rural electrification development.

Mr. Edze Diemer

Edze Diemer (Msc) is business developer Biomass for ECN, where he focuses on commercialising ECN's knowledge, skills and technologies in biomass combustion, gasification, biobased and energy efficiency. He has 10 years experience in (bio-)renewables and power markets. Prior to ECN, Edze worked in South-East Asia with his own independent consultancy/business development company in bio-energy and biobased. Before that, he worked 5 years for a Dutch entrepreneurial strategy consulting boutique, where he focused on power markets, sustainability and (bio-) renewables and biofuels. Clients included leading EU utilities, banks, investment firms, (semi-) governments, telecommunications and aviation companies.

Mr. Xiao Yang Peng

Xiaoyang obtained his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, and his master's degree in power engineering. He is now finishing his PhD in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). His research interests includes smart grid technologies, microgrid, renewable energy integration and power system analytics.

He joined ENGIE Lab Singapore in March, 2016. He is currently a research engineer working on smart grid area. Specifically, he is now working on project SPORE (Sustainable Powering of Off-grid REgions) within the ambitious international REIDS (Renewable Energy Integration Demonstrator-Singapore) initiative. REIDS is the largest hybrid microgrid initiative in the tropics. And within SPORE, ENGIE will build a multi-fluid micorgrid with different renewable energy sources (solar, wind, biogas and hydrogen) which will provide affordable electricity, green mobility and clean cooking for off-grid areas. ENGIE will also develop an energy management system to optimize the microgrid operation according to different key performance indicators.

Mr. David Platt

David Platt graduated from Cambridge University. He has worked as a lawyer for over 30 years, more than 20 of them in Asia. He has acted for governments, investors, contractors and funders on thermal and renewable power projects throughout the Asia Pacific region. His experience in Indonesia dates back to advising investors on the “pre-crisis” projects in the mid 1990s. He currently works for international law firm Pinsent Masons and advises mainly Chinese investors and contractors on all manner of thermal and renewable power projects in Indonesia.

Mr. Tony Segadelli
Tony Segadelli is the owner and Managing Director of the OWL Group. They have offices in Thailand, Myanmar and the Philippines from where they service all of SE Asia. His experience covers most Renewable Energy technologies with some notable projects being Project Director for 90 MW plantation based biomass project in Thailand and Project Director for construction of 230 MW Setouchi solar project, Japan. In addition to this OWL has worked on probably more solar in SE Asia than any other consultant including as EPC(M) Contractor, Owner's and Lender's Engineer. Tony has a strong understanding of techno-commercial and risk management.

Mr. Caffyn has over 30 years of energy related experience in most types of large scale power generating assets. Mr. Caffyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Quantitative Methods from Babson College, in 1981.

Mr Cheah is a qualified civil engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, and he was responsible for the construction and commissioning of more than 15 biogas projects, of which 9 of these projects are for power  generation.

He is one of the original founders of Green Lagoon Technology Sdn Bhd in 2010, and was previously involved with site improvement works, as well as operations, maintenance and monitoring.  As one of the pioneer companies in Malaysia dealing in POME Biogas, I have seen the immerse growth of the industry, and have been through much of the ups and downs of the business together with my business partners and associates.

Mada Ayu Habsari is the founder and CEO of PT. Enertec Enviromate Solusi, a company focusing on energy service, energy efficiency and renewable energy. She started her career as front liner in Bank Mandiri in 2000 as Sales and Marketing for priority banking under Wealth and Management Department. Then she started her own business venture in 2012, founded PT. Sadean Energi Indonesia, an energy efficient service provider focusing on LED retrofit and creating Solar Home System (SEHEN) for Indonesia remote islands. She had successfully grown the company with major client such as PLN, national energy company and major mobile providers. She then founded PT. Enertec Enviromate Solusi in 2014 as she pursued her vision in renewable energy and energy efficiency. In 2016, Mada has been appointed as deputy for Solar and Wind Energy Compartment, Renewable Energy and Environment Department, Indonesia Chamber of Commerce.

Enertec has started as Energy Services Company, focusing on existing buildings and public facilities retrofitting for energy efficiency solutions. Enertec is also providing Renewable Energy solutions for the client in Solar PV, Hydro Power and Biomass. Enertec develops Solar PV hybrid with existing diesel power plant energy production as Independent Power Producers, supplying to PLN, mainly in remote island in Eastern Part of Indonesia, where the access to energy is still low. Enertec provides reliable, safe and clean energy without adverse impact to the environment.
