Frédéric Blanchard started his career in 1989 in the Continental PET preform business (Dunkirk – France).
After several projects and activities in the PET injection and PET blowing processes, he moved to Beaune, France in 1997 to develop the PET Recycling activity for Schmalbach Lubeca.
Since 1997, the plant based in Beaune has developed the PET recycling process for use in direct food contact applications (closed-loop PET recycling). The product “Supercycle” is a well-known brand name in the PET packaging business worldwide., The plant is now the largest RPET (for direct food-contact) producer in Europe with a capacity of 35,000 tons recycled PET resin.
In addition to the recycling activity, the plant has also implemented a PET injection platform with a nominal capacity of 800 million preforms.
Mr Blanchard is currently managing the recycling and preform manufacturing plant based in Beaune, which is one of ten APPE plants serving the PET packaging market in Europe and North Africa.
He holds a degree in engineering and a Master’s degree in strategic and business management.

David joined Belu in 2009, forming part of the team that brought a new dimension to the business. Currently as Head of Operations he oversees the manufacturing and distribution of the products. Additionally he is leading the ongoing NPD programs and is responsible for Belu’s carbon reduction strategy.

Dr. Michael Okoroafor is currently the Vice President, Global Packaging Innovation and Execution at the H.J. Heinz Company. In this role, he is responsible for setting overall global strategy and direction for the packaging organization, as well as implementing packaging innovation across various business units. In addition, he leads the External Innovation Organization across North America. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the H. J. Heinz Foundation. David Swift was educated in UK studying Biochemistry at the University of Manchester and, subsequently, gained a Masters degree in Toxicology from the University of Surrey.
David joined Shell's research laboratory in Sittingbourne, Kent (UK) but moved to Shell Centre in 1980. Several different assignments followed including product management and work in the Chemical Strategy and Planning unit before joining Shell's PET business unit in 1997. During this period David gained an MBA from Henley Management College, part of Brunel University.
David transferred to M&G Group in May 2000 with the purchase of Shell's PET business. He worked as Global Marketing manager for the Resins Business Unit until March 2007.
