Iranian Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Mohammadreza Nematzadeh has said that Iran’s annual cement output will reach 120 million tons by 2025.
In fact the country, the largest cement exporter in the Middle East and third in the world, has increased its cement production recently. The Middle Eastern country clocked 61 million tons of cement in first eleven months of current Iranian calendar year.
In addition, Iran has produced 64 million tons of clinker during the same timeframe, which is manufactured by sintering limestone and clay during the cement kiln stage.
It’s reported that Iran exported 17.5 million tons of cement and clinker in the 11-month period of the current Iranian calendar year.
The country’s current annual cement output is estimated to be approximately 80 million tons, of which 50 million tons is used for domestic consumption.
