قمة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا العالمية للطحالب في دبي تستقطب أخصائيي وخبراء الطحالب

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدّة - (بزنيس واير):تبرز منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا كمركز رئيسي للبحث والتطوير فيما يتعلق بالمنتجات القائمة على الطحالب وذلك من خلال أحدث مشاريع البحث والتقنية في قطر وجامعة أبو ظبي ومعهد "مصدر" وجامعة المنصورة في مصر ومعهد الكويت للأبحاث العلمية. وستشهد قمة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا العالمية للطحالب، التي ينظمها مركز تكنولوجيا الإدارة، وتنعقد في دبي من 25 إلى 27 فبراير، أكبر تجمّع لخبراء الطحالب لتحليل وتقييم النموّ المستقبلي للاقتصاد المرتكز على الطحالب. تتمتع منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا بمناخ جغرافيّ مثاليّ من حيث المعايير الأساسيّة لنموّ الطحالب، حيث تتوفر أرض واسعة غير صالحة للزراعة، ووفرة في أشعة الشمس ومياه الصرف الصحي وغاز ثاني أكسيد الكربون، كما شهدت المنطقة استثمارات كبيرة في مشاريع قائمة على الطحالب. تقوم مدينة "مصدر"، وهي واحدة من أبرز المشاريع في هذا القطاع، على جهود واسعة النطاق ومستمرة في مجال البحث والتطوير تركز على الطاقة المتجددة والاستدامة. سيقوم البروفيسور هيكتور إتش. هرنانديز، أستاذ مساعد في مجال الهندسة الكيميائية؛ والبروفسور الدكتور روبرت إم. بالدوين، أستاذ الهندسة الكيميائيّة في معهد "مصدر" للعلوم والتكنولوجيا؛ بتشارك وجهات نظرهما حول تطوير سلالات الطحالب الدقيقة من الإمارات العربية المتحدة، والكيماويات ذات القيمة العالية، بالإضافة إلى الإنتاج المشترك للوقود الحيوي والمنتجات الثانوية ذات القيمة المضافة. ستوّفر آخر التحديثات الصادرة عن مشروع الخطوط الجوية القطرية والمشروع السعودي لمعامل التكرير الإحيائية للطحالب، والتي تشمل مشروع طحلب "دوناليلا سالينا" الكويتي ومشروع "سبيرولينا" الأردني الأول؛ تقييماً شاملاً للتقدّم الذي تم إحرازه حتى الآن. ولإضافة القيمة إلى مشاركتكم، يقدّم مركز تكنولوجيا الإدارة "سي إم تي" ورشة عمل عن "الطحالب والتقاط ثاني أكسيد الكربون (اقتصاد العملية وكفاءة الزراعة)" يتم الحجز لها بشكل منفصل. كما تمّ الترتيب لزيارة ميدانية اختياريّة لمعهد "مصدر" ولمختبر أبحاث الطحالب وذلك للحصول على فهم أكثر تعمّقاً حول خبرة وقدرة المنطقة في مجال الطحالب. وكان مركز تكنولوجيا الإدارة، المُنَظّم المؤتمرات العالمي، قد قام مؤخراً بتنظيم الدورة الخامسة من قمة آسيا العالمية للطحالب، في نوفمبر 2012 في سنغافورة، والتي سجّلت نجاحاً كبيراً. للمزيد من المعلومات عن قمة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا العالمية للطحالب، الرجاء زيارة الرابط الإلكتروني التالي: http://www.cmtevents.com/aboutevent.aspx?ev=130210&pu=219961&. إنّ نصّ اللغة الأصلية لهذا البيان هو النسخة الرسمية المعتمدة. أمّا الترجمة فقد قدِمتْ للمساعدة فقط، ويجب الرجوع لنصّ اللغة الأصلية الذي يمثّل النسخة الوحيدة ذات التأثير القانوني.
Higher Value-Added Products from MicroAlgae – Projects in the Mideast

The higher value-added co-products segment is growing and is one of the key drivers of the algae industry. Continuous market growth is expected as more research and development is being made in this area, proving algae to be rich in ingredients that are useful in pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals, or simply as an alternative source of nutrients such as Omega-3.
The vast biodiversity of microalgae serves as a huge resource pool for R&D, with the species presenting different compounds and functional ingredients. This segment will thus push the commercial viability of privately-funded algae projects as consumer trends put health products in a favorable position.

From Indian subcontinent to MidEAST to North Africa…there are a host of renewable businesses and in particular, algae with a wide range of fast track initiatives. The move towards Microalgal based biorefinery economy is being led by leading agencies across India, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and North Africa. Businesses, research institutes and universities are actively defining their positions in the MENA algae value chain and driving front line algae to energy research.
However, questions remain as to the economic and sustainable viability of MENA algae based projects despite the region being advantaged with large non arable land, geo climatic patterns and vast coastal landscape. How the region will resolve research, technology, production and delivery challenges remains to be seen.
CMT’s Algae World MENA 2013 plans to address the diverse complexities in geo politics, technology and business models in the region. The summit will bring together leading regional and global experts from research institutes and universities from UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, EU, Australia and US and leading industry players like MBD Energy, Algaenergy, and Eldorado Biofuels to deliberate and strategize on the future road map for MENA algae industry.
