TOP Jatropha Strategist Shares Startling Revelation! Returns from Jatropha Biomass can EXCEED returns from sale of Jatropha Oil
“Utilization Technology of Jatropha Seedcake and Residues” is an insightful video presentation featuring Drs. William Ludwig Nolten, Asia Director of Waterland Group, and one of the world’s most cutting-edge Jatropha researchers. The presentation, made at the JatrophaWorld Asia 2009 conference, was one of the highest rated in terms of usefulness and relevance.
Drs. Nolten thoroughly debunks the idea that jatropha seedcake and biomass residues are waste substances. According to Drs. Nolten, jatropha PPO represents only 14% of the jatropha fruit. The other 86% are biomass, consisting of fruit shell (30%), seed husk (26%) and kernel (30%). The utilization of these resources provides additional revenuesand carbon credits for a jatropha project.
Watch & find out how you can use Jatropha in the following applications:

Here’s to your Success with Jatropha & ending our dependence on Oil!
As part of JatrophaWorld’s commitment in providing quality and useful knowledge, we have incorporated a Mini-Workshop on Jatropha Biodiesel Value Chain into the main program. Using a quantitative model to show you the economic indicators of jatropha projects, you will clearly see the profitability of your project as well as the risk profile.
We understand that the principal need and hurdle to jatropha project development currently is to secure financing, this mini-workshop is specially designed to help you meet funding requirements by showing financiers the shareholder values of a project.
The special feature of this session is that it will be “INTERACTIVE”. The participants would be given a short questionnaire prior to the Workshop to provide their own top seven variables, of their Jatropha farming, refining and marketing operations for the model. These variables would be then fed into the model and the outcome in the form of “Profitability”, “Cashflow” and “Risk Profile” shown to them. Thereafter, there will be Panel discussions, which would focus on the “Optimization of Jatropha Biodiesel Value Chain” and how each respondent could optimize his/her own Jatropha farming, biodiesel production and marketing operations. The Financier would be able to pay attention to the “critical variables” that would make a difference in the success of Jatropha Biodisel operations.
The value-added Mini-Workshop is offered to delegates of 2nd JatrophaWorld Americas at NO EXTRA COST!

It’s a great time to be a Jatro-Entrepreneur
(Pictured-JatrophaWorld Asia 2009 Panellists)
Most Jatro-Entrepreneurs are consolidating their projects, fine-tuning their practices and racing the final laps to commercialisation. With the first supplies of Jatropha oil expected to hit the markets soon from matured Jatropha projects, the sector remains buoyant and energised!
The eagerly anticipated first leg of the Jatropha World 2009 series, JatrophaWorld Asia 2009 convened in Kuala Lumpur on 16-17 February. The conference brought together the Jatropha community in the world’s most authoritative Jatropha forum to lend an Asian perspective to the latest developments in Jatropha around the world.
And the general view among all attendees was, “Jatropha remains competitive!”
We saw participants join us from over 31 countries from all five continents. Most of them, who have a vested interest in Jatropha cultivation, came to JatrophaWorld Asia 2009 to find out more about the latest technologies, best practices in Jatropha cultivation and processing, and more importantly, network with their fellow Jatro-entrepreneurs, many of whom they had met at previous Jatropha World conferences.
The atmosphere was convivial; Jatro-entrepreneurs remain confident despite the global economic uncertainties, buoyed by the growing global interest in alternative energy, emissions reduction and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
The JatrophaWorld Asia 2009 panel was made up of the world’s most influential Jatropha players including the top executives from Biotins Energis, Jatoils, Bioenergy Development (Thailand), D1-Willamson Magor, Abundant Biofuels Corporation, Neste Oil Corporation, plus many more, and these industry leaders did not hold back their enthusiasm in conveying their continued commitment towards the growth of the Jatropha sector.
The conference got rave reviews from all participants. Mike Vanstone, Director at New World Energy from Australia, and a Jatropha World regular said “I enjoyed Jatropha World Asia 2009 even more than I did Jatropha World 2008!”
Kaushik Saika, Plantation Manager at D1-Williamson Magor Biofuel Ltd, one of India’s largest Jatropha projects was so excited by his experience at Jatropha World Asia 2009, that he remarked “Jatropha World 2009 will play a significant role in the consolidation of the Jatropha and Biodiesel industries.”
Tarja Myllymaki, Global Feedstock Manager at Finland’s Neste Oil was very impressed by the type of people she got to meet at Jatropha World Asia 2009. She observed, “Everyone I met at JatrophaWorld Asia 2009 are deep into the subject and many have actual experience.”
As Alfred Araneta, president of Philippine’s Asian Fuels Inc. summed up, “JatrophaWorld is an excellent venue to keep ourselves updated, informed and educated about the complex but exciting business of Jatropha!”
JatrophaWorld Asia 2009 was a great start to the Jatropha World 2009 series, and has set the bar very high for the upcoming 2nd JatrophaWorld Americas conference, which will be held on 10-11 June in Miami, USA.
