Ms. Sue Appleton

Sue Appleton is a Chemical Engineer. She has worked for much of her career since 1975 with ICI, in a variety of Research, Plant Technical Support, Operation & Production Management roles supporting the Petrochemicals & Fertilizer businesses.

From 1992 she worked on the Ammonia, Methanol, Nitric Acid & Fertilizer plants, from 1997 as Operations Manager of the Terra UK (now GrowHow) Ammonia IV plant on the Billingham Site.
Sue joined Synetix in 2001, as Technical Sales Manager, selling catalysts and plant services to customers in the Syngas Industry. She moved with Synetix Business to Johnson Matthey in 2002 and in 2005 was appointed Regional Sales Manager for Europe.

Sue's current role as Industry Manager for the Global Methanol Market also includes responsibility for the Regional teams delivering Johnson Matthey Syngas catalyst sales to European, FSU, S. America & Trinidad customers.
