Mr. Poul Erik Højlund Nielsen
Since 2008 , Mr Hojlund Nielsen has been the Manager of Science & Innovation for Haldor Topsøe A/S, Denmark . He has over 50 publications and 20 patents. He is responsible for the Topsoe TIGAS project. This involves planning, catalyst development and process development not only on the TIGAS process but also on the associated processes, such as Methanol synthesis, Water Gas shift synthesis along with development of purification technologies for coal and biomass derived synthesis gasses. He has expertise in most of the catalysis related to synthesis gas production and synthesis gas conversion into product like ammonia, hydrogen, methanol, gasoline and FT Hydrocarbons and had been responsible for the development of a number of the current Topsoe catalysts in this area. He is well verses in gasification technologies as well as the downstream gas conditioning, in particular developments of guard systems.
