The global food vs fuel constraint makes it a reality of alternative feedstocks, new process and technologies.  Next generation technologies, biomass conversion, cellulosic ethanol production and biomass-to-liquid (BTL) are the way to go. Oil companies, transportation and the utilities sectors in Asia are also pacing up their R&D and integration with these technologies.  Will the technologies evolve to be competitive successors or simply complement? At what cost and scale can cellulosic ethanol and BTL be sustainable and commercially profitable?

Sweet sorghum and jatropha emerge as the alternative feedstocks for the production of biofuels. Major cultivation and production plans have been laid out for commercialized usage of these crops. Meanwhile, the industry is also looking forward to adopt new technologies in the production process/technologies of biomass and cellulosic feedstock. China has prohibited corn based ethanol production and mandated the switch to non-food agriculture feedstock, such as sweet sorghum and cellulose. What is the available acreage in Asia to realize the requirement for these feedstocks? What modern technologies can be adopted and enhance the yield for the oil crops?

Since early last year, CMT has produced series of Biofuels and BTL conferences.  Next Biofuels Technologies is a continuation of CMT’s 1st  North Asia Biofuels that took place in Shanghai last December.

Next Biofuels Technologies promises direct interaction opportunities and latest updates with our panel of industry experts from Europe, US and Asia. Learn from the leading experts, as they discuss on next generation biofuels technologies, yield-efficient feedstock management and opportunities.

Key sessions include the following:
• Biofuels projects, regulatory policy & market potential in China, Japan, India, Philippines & etc
• Technological advances & feedstock genomics of biomass & non-food agricultural feedstock (jatropha, sweet sorghum & GMO food crops)
• Key sessions on Jatropha based biodiesel projects, from India, Singapore & China
• New biofuels technologies: From cellulosic ethanol to biomass-to-liquids (BTL)
Biorefining & potential of biopolyols
• CO2 management & enabling CDM for bioenergy projects

Increase your competitive advantage during Next Biofuels Technologies conference to reach out and network with industry leaders and key decision makers. Also utilise this opportunity for brand enhancement, showcasing your products and services to our high profile delegates.
